STUDENTS' SAFETY IS THE BUS DRIVER'S NUMBER ONE PRIORITY
The school bus driver needs full cooperation from the students on the bus in order to drive safely and efficiently at all times. Parents, please teach your children these few simple rules about bus safety. Make their ride a safe and happy one!!
Help keep the bus on schedule. Be at the assigned stop five minutes ahead of time.
Respect the property and personal rights of others while waiting at your stop and while on the bus.
Board your bus in an orderly manner.
For reasons of safety, you must remain in your seat while the bus is moving.
The bus driver must be able to hear as well as see danger. Therefore, students must not talk loudly or engage in horseplay.
Fighting and/or the use of profane language will not be allowed on the school bus.
Cooperate with other students to keep the bus clean and orderly.
Vandalism will not be tolerated on school buses. If vandalism occurs, appropriate action will be taken.
Smoking, drinking or use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.
If the bus driver permits open windows, keep arms and head inside and do not throw objects out of windows.
The bus driver is authorized to assign seats.
To further promote the safe transportation of students, video cameras may be used to monitor students' behavior on school vehicles.
Inquiries and concerns related to student transportation should be brought to the attention of Mrs. Dawn Russell, 477-3198. If parents wish to take unresolved concerns further, they should contact Mrs. Lierow at 477-7395, ext. 1004.
Remember that bus transportation is a privilege, not a right. Bus service may be suspended for repeated violations of safety rules. Parents will be notified of student misbehavior, and will be held responsible for vandalism to buses caused by their children.
AN INTERESTING FACT: School buses are nearly 2,000 times safer than the family car.
